Audit

Scott Clinic has achieved certification to the Day-Stay Surgery and Procedures Standard NZS 8164:2005.  The standard is set by industry leaders to establish safe and good practice and requires rigorous audit of practice and maintenance of standards of care at the clinic.  We are audited by DAA Group every 18 months to ensure we continue to meet the requirements for certification.

The DAA Group has been designated, under Section 32 of the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001 to audit healthcare services, by the Director-General of Health. The company has been accredited to ISO 17021 and ISO 19011, and by ISQua to provide certification and accreditation to a range of healthcare services.

Success attainment of certification is important to all staff at Scott Clinic, as it validates the way we provide services for our patients – evidence based care in a respectful, participatory way.

The clinic prides itself on providing treatments that are individualised and focused on obtaining the most appropriate outcome for patients.

We also like to ensure our surgical services are up to date, evidence based and aligned with national and international guides. As part of the quality improvement programme at the clinic, regular audits are undertaken, looking at how satisfied our patients are with the services provided as well as monitoring surgical complications, incomplete excision rates (skin surgery) and post operative infections.

If you would like to speak to the Practice Manager at the clinic about any aspect of the quality improvement programme please contact the clinic or email caroline@scottclinic.co.nz
